Bangladesh has yet again recorded the highest Covid-19 cases in a single day, crossing the 2,500 mark with 2,523 new positive cases.
Novel coronavirus, Covid-19, has infected a maximum of 2,523 people in the last 24 hours across the country. The number of infected cases reached to 42,844. However, 23 more died at the same time.
Test:
Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), in the regular online health bulletin related to COVID-19 on Friday, May 29, 2020 at around 2:30 PM, said 12,982 of samples were collected for testing in the last 24 hours and 11,301 samples were tested in 49 labs and identified COVID-19 case in the bodies of 2,523 people, which is highest cases in a single day.
So far, infected cases reached to 42,844. So far, a total of 287,067 samples have been tested.
Recovery from COVID -19:
She also said, 590 more recover from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, total of 9,015, which is 21.04% of the total number of infected cases.
Death:
23 more died in the last 24 hours, total death toll reaches 582, which is 1.36% in terms of infected cases. Of them, 10 people died in Dhaka, 9 in Chittagong, 2 in Rangpur, 1 in Barisal and 1 in Sylhet.
Isolation:
Besides, in the last 24 hours, 328 new people took in isolation, 172 of people released, so far total of 2,810. At present, there are 5,140 of people in isolation.
Medical Ameninites:
Total isolation beds of 13284, 6250 in Dhaka city, 7034 outside of Dhaka, ICU of 399, and dialysis of 106. Besides, 700 of beds are underway to ready. In the last 24 hours, 3 institutions have been added where services can be provided about 151 of patients.
629 of Institutions have been ready to get isolation services to 31991 of people across the country.
Privately, so far 16 institutions have been given permission for RT-PCR testing. 14 of Institutions in Dhaka, 2 in Chittagong and 1 in Bogra, which remained unchanged.
Quarantine:
In the last 24 hours, 4,900 new people took in quarantine, total of 280,005 and 2,918 of people released from quarantine, total of 219,770.
Now there are 60,275 quarantine people.
Screening:
In the last 24 hours, 411 of new people have been screened, total of 699,510 have been screened so far.
The fast-spreading coronavirus has claimed more than 362,541 lives and infected more than 5,925,267 people globally till Thursday afternoon, according to Worldometer.
As many as 2,593,411 people have recovered from Covid-19, which has spread to 213 countries and territories across the world.
