Bangladesh has yet again recorded the Covid-19 cases in a single day 2,545 new positive cases.
Novel coronavirus, Covid-19, has infected of 2,545 people in the last 24 hours across the country. The number of infected cases reached to 47,153 However, 40 more died at the same time.
Test:
Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), in the regular online health bulletin related to COVID-19 on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at around 2:30 PM, said, in the last 24 hours 11,876 samples were tested in 50 labs and identified COVID-19 case in the bodies of 2,545 people, which is highest cases in a single day.
So far, infected cases reached to 47,153. So far, a total of 308,930 samples have been tested.
Recovery from COVID -19:
She also said, 406 more recover from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, total of 9,781, which is 20.74% of the total number of infected cases.
Death:
40 more died in the last 24 hours, total death toll reaches 650, which is 1.38% in terms of infected cases. Of them, 28 people died in Dhaka, 8 in Chittagong, 2 in Khulna, 1 in Rangpur, and 2 in Rajshahi.
Isolation:
Besides, in the last 24 hours, 391 new people took in isolation, 126 of people released, so far total of 3,016 At present, there are 5,794 of people in isolation.
Medical Amenities:
Total isolation beds of 13284, 6250 in Dhaka city, 7034 outside of Dhaka, ICU of 399, and dialysis of 106. Besides, 700 of beds are underway to ready.
629 of Institutions have been ready to get isolation services to 31991 of people across the country.
Privately, so far 16 institutions have been given permission for RT-PCR testing. 14 of Institutions in Dhaka, 2 in Chittagong and 1 in Bogra, which remained unchanged.
Quarantine:
In the last 24 hours, 2,947 new people took in quarantine, total of 285,172 and 3,042 of people released from quarantine, total of 224,991.
Now there are 60,181 quarantine people.
Screening:
In the last 24 hours, 1622 of new people have been screened, total of 702,033 have been screened so far.
However, the fast-spreading coronavirus has claimed more than 369,847 lives and infected more than 6,098,804 people globally till Thursday afternoon, according to Worldometer.
As many as 2,589,108people have recovered from Covid-19, which has spread to 213 countries and territories across the world.
